Laurie Bowman is passionate about creating value through project planning, risk and performance management. He is an advisor and trainer with Synchrony Projects, where his focus is on working with clients to achieve capability improvement in project planning, performance management and stakeholder management resulting in successful and sustainable projects and change initiatives. Laurie has 30 years’ of experience in engineering and management roles on complex multidiscipline engineering and transformation projects and is an accredited trainer, stage gate reviewer and advisor. He is currently serving as Director at Large with PMI Queensland, has previously served on the board of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International as the International Director for Australasia and Pacific Rim. He is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors course, has a master's degree in business administration, a masters degree in commercial law, a bachelor's degree in engineering and is currently researching Neuroscience, Risk Management and Systems Leadership.
